WBG Pioneers - Knowledge Management and Learning Intern

The World Bank Group's Internship Program offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high impact learning experience focused on knowledge management and learning within the Global Environment Facility Secretariat. The intern will support implementation of the Knowledge Management and Learning Strategy by coordinating training, monitoring collaboration tools, and assisting with knowledge sharing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training sessions for GEF Secretariat on the use of Microsoft Teams Channels, SharePoint Files and other collaboration tools
• Monitor the use of collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint and produce periodic reports to identify usage gaps
• Work with the Senior KM Specialist to develop a plan to incentivize the use of collaboration tools in GEF Secretariat
• Participate in the migration of legacy SharePoint Files to the new World Bank Group platform
• Develop a profile of networking needs for development of the GEF knowledge and collaboration platform
• Assist with the development of knowledge sharing strategies and tools, including categories and types of knowledge products, their sources of origin, target audience and dissemination channels
• Other ad-hoc activities derived from the Knowledge Management and Learning program in the GEF, including those related to Information Technology

Requirements

• Applicants must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled or planning to enroll in a graduate study program in Information and Communication Technology, Knowledge Management, and Computer Science
• Proven academic, technical, and analytical background
• Strong research and data analysis skills
• Ability to work independently in a complex diverse setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Sound organizational and data management skills
