This internship is within the Center of Excellence under Construction and Project Management, supporting project management systems, procurement, and standards for real estate projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation, adoption, and ongoing optimization of project management systems, financial tools, and reporting solutions.
- Prepare templates to be used for the adoption of systems and tools.
- Assist to develop, maintain, and disseminate standard operating procedures, templates, tools, and best practices to support consistent and efficient project and portfolio execution.
- Assist with training project teams in the effective use of PMO tools and systems to enhance visibility, collaboration, and governance.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across functions, levels, and geographic locations, engaging internal and external stakeholders including the Center of Excellence and project managers.
- Assist in the creation, justification, publication, evaluation and selection of vendors that are globally procured to support real estate initiatives.
- Review and analyze various contract vehicles for the procurement of general contracting services, design, and consultant services for design-build and design-bid-build.
- Assist in the creation and update of methodologies, and lifecycle standards to guide project managers and teams in the successful delivery of real estate projects.
- Help create and train real estate team on construction reference guides.
Requirements
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or in the final year of postgraduate (master’s) program.
- Candidates must have 0–5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Academic background must align with the requirements outlined in the job description (i.e. architecture, design, engineering, construction, construction management, real estate, real estate management, procurement).
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies for the real estate industry.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, team-based environments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages a plus.
