See your match score & applyThe World Bank Group is seeking an extended term consultant to support the Evaluation and Learning team of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF). The role focuses on energy-related knowledge and advisory services, contributing to evaluations, research, and reports supporting CIF programs and thematic areas including transformational change, climate finance, private sector engagement, knowledge management, learning, social inclusion, and development impacts.
Responsibilities
- Provide research support including background analysis on emerging topics, sourcing data for knowledge products, and co-developing knowledge and communications pieces.
- Support the development and delivery of learning events (online and in-person) for CIF programs and key thematic topics.
- Support new knowledge generation including evaluations, case studies, thematic reviews, and innovation focused consultations.
- Prepare briefs, background notes, talking points, and presentations for team leads to share CIF’s work related to evaluation and learning.
- Catalogue, organize, and present existing CIF knowledge products to make them accessible and useful to CIF partners.
- Proactively seek collaboration opportunities with CIF stakeholders and external agencies working on similar themes and objectives.
- Develop and implement dissemination strategies for E&L’s knowledge products tailored to different audiences.
- Support the Transformational Change Learning Partnership (TCLP) including knowledge generation, operationalizing transformational change in CIF activities, promoting and managing TCLP work, and collaborating with other MDB partners.
- Provide other ad-hoc support as required.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Energy policy, International development, Public Policy or other related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in economics, environmental studies, social sciences, or related fields.
- Excellent written communication and editing skills, particularly conveying technical information for diverse audiences.
- Works well under pressure and competently manages multiple tasks within tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude, a high degree of initiative, independence, reliability, adaptability, and ability to anticipate and resolve problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to promote strong collaboration and facilitate and achieve consensus with partners, clients, and colleagues in a multicultural environment.
- Experience working in, and knowledge of the policies and procedures of, the World Bank Group or other multilateral development bank policies and procedures would be helpful.
