See your match score & applyThe Programme Business Support Assistant SC4 supports the effective delivery of WFP humanitarian and resilience programmes by performing specialized and standardized policy and programme-related processes and activities. The role involves assisting in programme planning, partnership management, monitoring, reporting, and community engagement to ensure accountability and operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Support planning, and timely execution of WFP humanitarian and resilience programmes based on needs and corporate standards.
- Assist in managing partnerships and collaboration with partners, government and project participants.
- Maintain accurate programme records for food, assets and project participants to enhance accountability.
- Conduct programme monitoring and cooperating partner oversight to support analysis, reporting and programme reviews.
- Develop and gather operational feedback, identify implementation risks and support timely follow-up actions.
- Contribute to preparation of timely programme updates, field mission notes and inputs for donor updates and situational reports.
- Support emergency preparedness, anticipatory action and response activities through multisectoral initiatives.
- Support communication campaigns targeting affected communities, acting as communication focal point and draft and share impact stories.
- Support community engagement, complaints and feedback mechanisms by ensuring timely documentation, referral and closure of issues through WFP-approved platforms.
- Contribute to programme assessments, reviews, evaluations and lessons.
- Support preparation of field activity work plans and budgets while adhering to high standards of accountability and value for money.
Requirements
- Diploma in Monitoring, Statistics, Project Management, Community Development, Development Studies, Business Management or related field is required. A degree in the Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Project Management, Community Development, Development Studies, Business Management or related field will be an added advantage.
- At least four years progressively responsible work experience including at least one year in Information systems management, project monitoring and evaluation, data collection analysis and report writing.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods, analysis, reporting and dissemination and follow up of findings and recommendation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Ability to write correctly in English and to communicate matters orally and in writing.
- Should be able to maintain accurate/precise records, to perform detailed work and to handle a large volume of work quickly and accurately under time constraints.
- Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Courtesy, tact and the ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
