See your match score & applyThe Programme Associate (M&E) supports strategic leadership and oversight of monitoring, accountability, and learning functions in WFP Armenia. The role involves coordinating monitoring activities, providing technical expertise, supporting gender and disability inclusion, and capacity building with government and partners to ensure evidence-based programme decision-making aligned with organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the monitoring activities in the country office and provide technical expertise for monitoring evidence generation.
- Act as the focal point for gender and disability inclusion in the country office.
- Support programme staff in understanding impacts and multiplier effects of assistance provided.
- Support programme staff in identifying potential connectors and non-transactional partnerships to enhance nationalization and local ownership.
- Collect, compile data and support analysis and preparation of reports to support operational decision-making.
- Verify planned assistance and report issues or discrepancies for timely resolution to ensure operation quality and quantity align with WFP standards.
- Coordinate capacity building of Government stakeholders, cooperating partners and internal counterparts to enhance monitoring and accountability capacities.
- Work as a team with programme staff located at the field office.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education.
- A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
- At least six years of progressively responsible work experience in database management, statistical analyses, visualization, and design.
- Experience of monitoring and research of agricultural projects.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Data gathering and cleaning abilities.
- Ability to easily grasp and put into action new ideas, concepts, and approaches.
- Strong computer and statistical analysis skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Capacity to perform statistical analyses and data visualization.
- Has worked with technical teams (i.e. M&E, VAM, etc.).
- Has contributed to implementation of programmes.
- Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.
- Fluency in Armenian, and highly competent in both oral and written English language.
- Working knowledge (level B) of Russian language is desired.
