See your match score & applyThe Human Resources Associate will support a wide range of HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Performance Management, Staff Relations, Contracting, Entitlement and Payroll within WFP Ukraine. The role involves managing complex HR queries, supporting junior staff development, and contributing to HR process improvements using Workday HCM system.
Responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of complex HR queries and follow up actions to ensure consistent and high-quality client-focused HR services.
- Allocate responsibilities and support on-the-job learning and development of junior support staff to ensure adequate knowledge of HR systems and procedures.
- Identify evolving needs of the organization and recommend changes in HR processes and procedures to support improvements in HR services.
- Review and compile data on staff recruitment and selection, contractual conditions, entitlements, performance and training requirements, workforce, etc., to support analysis and reporting needs.
- Onboard new staff joining WFP ensuring relevant processes are followed and terms of service are explained and understood.
- Prepare complex HR documentation such as employment contracts, transfer/separation letters, training-related documents ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Use Workday (HCM) HR management systems for reviewing, entering and updating HR data including monitoring deadlines and ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor staff deployment and handle related administrative actions including preparation of reports to support efficient HR service.
Requirements
- Preferably, relevant university education covering organizational psychology and/or Human Resources Management.
- Minimum secondary school education with post-secondary certification in Human Resources Management.
- Other educational backgrounds can be considered provided relevant professional experience and/or formal training in HRM.
- Six (06) or more years of progressively responsible support work experience in general administrative work, including at least three years in human resources.
- Post-secondary education can compensate for some years of experience (e.g., three years of work experience with a Master’s Degree; four years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree).
- Sound theoretical understanding of HR concepts and principles with a broad knowledge of best practices, techniques and processes.
- Good communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence and adapt communication style to different situations and individuals.
- Ability to quickly build credibility with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct analyses in order to generate periodic reports and make recommendations for further actions.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and use initiative to perform tasks within broad WFP guidelines and standards.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to continuously adapt approaches and recommendations to a specific context.
- Fluency (level C) in both English and Ukrainian languages.
