The Lead, Forum Innovator Team will drive the design and delivery of innovator-focused events and lead innovator development for several of the Forum’s Centres, acting as a senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to integrate innovators into the Forum’s event portfolio and thematic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning and delivery of innovator-dedicated events convened by the Forum
  • Shape and coordinate innovator programming embedded within Forum-wide events, including the Annual Meeting in Davos, the Annual Meeting of the New Champions, the Sustainable Development Impact Meeting and Industry Strategy Meetings
  • Map the relevant landscape of external events, identify the most important ones, and develop and align a strategy on how to leverage these events for the WEF’s Innovator communities
  • Collaborate with event, content and communications teams to ensure high-quality innovator participation and experience
  • Lead innovator development for several of the Forum’s Centres (e.g. Centre for Financial and Monetary Systems), serving as the primary interface between the innovator community and Centre leadership
  • Identify and onboard innovators aligned with the thematic priorities of the relevant Centres
  • Ensure innovators are meaningfully embedded into Centre initiatives, working groups and flagship activities
  • Work closely with Centre teams to translate their priorities into concrete innovator engagement opportunities
  • Collaborate with colleagues across centres, industries and regions to embed innovators into thematic initiatives
  • Track engagement metrics, produce insights and contribute to continuous improvement of the innovator experience
  • Mentor and support more junior colleagues on the team

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business, international affairs, technology, public policy or a related field
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in event leadership, start-up ecosystems, venture capital, corporate innovation, consulting or an international organization
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering high-profile events and/or programmes
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and global innovation ecosystems, with familiarity in one or more Centre-relevant domains (e.g. financial and monetary systems)
  • Demonstrated senior stakeholder engagement experience across corporates, innovators, governments and international organizations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages an asset
  • Proven ability to work across cultures, lead cross-functional workstreams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to the Forum’s mission
