See your match score & applyThe VT Instructor (General Electrician) supports the design and delivery of vocational training programs, including curriculum development, assessment, and integration of new technologies. The role involves facilitating learning in various settings, maintaining employer linkages, applying quality assurance, and supporting greening and digital initiatives at UNRWA training centers.
Responsibilities
- Supports the design and development of learning programmes and curricula including occupational and competency analyses, drafting programme profiles, learning guides and manuals.
- Facilitates delivery of school-based and work-based learning programmes including setting up training venues, utilizing facilities and equipment, selecting trainees, preparing inclusive training plans, and employing adult learning strategies.
- Prepares student assessments including formative and summative assessments, practice-based and knowledge-based skills tests, and develops assessment sheets and implementation plans.
- Supports maintaining linkages with employers, workers, and TVET instructors; collects and utilizes labour market information; supports skills needs assessments and surveys.
- Applies quality assurance tools and processes across the training cycle according to UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework.
- Supports TVET greening and digitalisation initiatives; assists in designing and implementing green and digital learning programmes; integrates green and digital skills into training courses.
- Collaborates with other instructors and staff in coordinating teaching and learning processes, maintaining order and discipline, implementing co-curricular activities, and supporting Occupational Health and Safety measures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Successful completion of full Secondary Education plus two years post-secondary technical education or training in an area directly related to the course to be taught.
- No experience at this entry level of VT Instructor (General Electrician) - grade 09, is required.

- English and Arabic are required languages with specified UN language proficiency levels.
- Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
- Contract Type: Daily paid employment with daily rate USD 58.55 and additional benefits including annual and sick leave.
