See your match score & applyThe Intern will support communication and outreach activities within the Division of Agribusiness and Infrastructure Development (IET/AGR) at UNIDO. The role involves assisting in the development of communication manuals, drafting templates for outreach plans, preparing external communication materials, coordinating with project communication focal points, and supporting organization of webinars and information sessions.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of concise communication manual/guidelines to facilitate communication and outreach activities of TC projects of the Division.
- Assist in developing and drafting standard templates for communication and outreach plan across TC projects of the Division including template for success stories, case studies, blog posts, news articles and other social media posts e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook.
- Work with the Office of the Director of the Division and the Unit Chiefs and communication focal points to prepare Standard outreach materials and presentations for external communication including leaflets, brochures, pamphlets that effectively communicate the mandate of the division/units, flagships programme and projects, service modules, tools/methodologies etc.
- Support the Coordination with AGR Units and projects communication focal points to collate and curate media-worthy information and disseminate to widely disseminate projects activities, updates, success stories in the media.
- Support other Organizational units and project teams to organize webinars, information sessions, that help disseminate project lessons, best practices, success cases among others.
- Assist the collaboration with data teams in the Division to prepare evidence based new-worthy articles for social and other media publicity.
- Prepare an end-of-internship report, which will be submitted to and cleared by HRM.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a second level university degree programme (master's or equivalent) or higher; or begin the internship within one year of completing a second level university degree; or be enrolled in the final academic year of a first-degree programme (bachelor's or equivalent); or begin the internship within one year of completing a first level university degree. Only accredited institutions will be considered.
- Field of specialization: Development Communication, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or other related field of studies relevant to the mandate of IET/AGR.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Knowledge of another official United Nations language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
- Basic research, and basic data management tools such as Excel.
