Senior Finance Associate

The Senior Finance Associate is responsible for providing specialized finance functions ensuring compliance with UNICEF financial rules and regulations, supporting transactional teams, enabling informed decision-making, driving process improvement, managing stakeholders, and supporting system enhancements.

Requirements

• Completion of secondary education is required with professional/university level courses in Accounting and Finance, Business administration or equivalent.
• A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience.
• A master’s degree may replace an additional two years.
• At least 7 years of clerical experience in the area of finance and accounting is required (Accounting and Auditing, Financial management, operations and reporting, process improvement, internal controls, risk management, data analysis, project management, stakeholder management, systems implementation, root cause analysis, and any other related background).
• Proactivity, Manages Ambiguity, Change Management, Drive To Achieve, Collaboration and Problem Solving are required.
• Fluency in French is required.
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, English, Russian or Spanish) or a local language brings a considerable value.
• Knowledge of User Acceptance Testing, AI tools, Training and coaching, Quality Control is an asset.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
