National Digital Learning Consultant

The National Digital Learning Consultant will support UNICEF Myanmar's Education Section in expanding digital learning opportunities for foundational literacy and numeracy, as well as providing skilling opportunities to adolescents. The role involves managing digital learning platforms, developing capacity-building activities, and supporting education technology initiatives in a complex humanitarian context.

Responsibilities

• Support the Education Section in expanding implementation of digital learning opportunities for foundational literacy and numeracy and skilling opportunities for adolescents.
• Manage or administer Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other digital learning platforms, including user management, content administration, organization and maintenance of learning resources, and platform support.
• Support the design, implementation or scaleup of digital learning initiatives, especially in low-resource or humanitarian settings.
• Develop and facilitate capacity-building activities, including training materials development and technical support provision to government counterparts, implementing partners, educators or facilitators.
• Analyze platform usage, learner engagement, user feedback and other programme monitoring data to inform programme improvements.

Requirements

• Masters in Education, Educational Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Design, International Development
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in digital learning, education technology, learning management systems, education programme implementation, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in managing or administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other digital learning platforms, including user management, content administration, organization and maintenance of online or offline learning resources, and platform support.
• Good understanding of UNICEF Learning Passport platform is an advantage.
• Experience supporting the design, implementation or scaleup of digital learning initiatives, preferably in low-resource or humanitarian settings.
• Experience developing and facilitating capacity-building activities, including the development of training materials and provision of technical support to government counterparts, implementing partners, educators or facilitators.
• Demonstrated experience in analysing platform usage, learner engagement, user feedback and other programme monitoring data
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
• Knowledge of the Myanmar language is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of digital learning, education technology, learning management systems and digital education programme implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports, dashboards, data visualizations and presentations.
• Ability to work effectively with UNICEF colleagues, implementing partners, technical teams, educators and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the Myanmar education context, including the needs of conflict-affected children, out-of-school children, children with disabilities and other vulnerable populations is desirable.
• Previous experience working with UNICEF or other United Nations agencies on education or digital learning programmes is desirable.
• Experience working in low-resource, humanitarian or conflict-affected settings is desirable.
