See your match score & applyThe internship supports the continuous improvement and effective use of the Emergency Preparedness Platform (EPP 3.0) through functional testing, issue documentation, user support, and preparedness-related activities. The intern will contribute to platform quality by identifying bugs, validating new functionality, supporting user feedback translation, and assisting with operational support to meet UNICEF's preparedness needs.
Responsibilities
- Support platform testing and data validation activities.
- Document issues and contribute to platform improvement.
- Provide user support and knowledge sharing including responding to queries and supporting webinars and training.
- Assist with emergency preparedness related activities to ensure effective use of EPP 3.0.
- Collaborate closely with the Emergency Preparedness team and platform developers to support continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree programme or have graduated within the past two years.
- 6 months - 1 year of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or data validation (internship or academic project experience acceptable).
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to interpret data from multiple sources and identify inconsistencies.
- Clear and concise communication skills for reporting issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellence in both written and spoken English is required and essential.
- Familiarity with integrated systems and data workflows is a plus.
- Exposure to issue-tracking tools such as Azure DevOps is desirable.
- Proficiency in any other UN languages is an asset (French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese).
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
