EiE Consultant

This consultancy supports Education Cannot Wait (ECW) in strengthening the design, implementation, monitoring and quality assurance of education programmes in crisis-affected contexts. The consultant provides technical and operational support for ECW’s country investments, promotes high standards in protection, gender and inclusion, localization, climate resilience, safeguarding and accountability, and contributes to strategic planning, portfolio management and programme performance.

Responsibilities

• Support Education Cannot Wait (ECW) in strengthening the design, implementation, monitoring and quality assurance of education programmes in crisis-affected contexts.
• Provide technical and operational support for ECW’s country investments, including CORE programmes and the Acceleration Facility.
• Promote high standards in protection, gender and inclusion, localization, climate resilience, safeguarding and accountability.
• Contribute to strategic planning, portfolio management and programme performance to ensure high-quality, results-based education responses for children affected by emergencies.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in: Education in Emergencies technical expertise / Programme management / Fund management / Communication skills / Strategic leadership / Resource Mobilisation
• 15+ years of relevant Education in Emergencies experience
• 5+ years of experience working with a global fund or relevant development/humanitarian financing mechanism
• 5+ years of programme planning, development and management experience
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
• Knowledge and understanding of the EIE sector and humanitarian-development architecture
• Education in Emergencies Technical Expertise
• Excellent communication and resource mobilisation skills
• Demonstrated strategic leadership skills
