See your match score & applyThe Education Specialist Cluster Coordinator will contribute to the effective coordination of the Education Cluster in Haiti, ensuring a timely, strategic, and accountable education response during humanitarian emergencies. The role involves supporting coordination among government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs, and other partners to strengthen collaboration, facilitate information sharing, and promote a coherent, evidence-based response aligned with humanitarian standards and the needs of crisis-affected children and communities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate humanitarian Education actors in Haiti.
- Develop sectoral plans and monitor performance of cluster.
- Build networks and partnerships.
- Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.
- Support education programme delivery.
Requirements
- A completed advanced university degree (Master’s degree) in education, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, international development, management, social sciences or another relevant technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in programme planning, coordination and management, and/or research in Education is required.
- Experience in humanitarian contexts is required.
- Fluency in French and intermediate level of English are required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Spanish or Russian) is an asset.
- Experience of working in a senior management role or in cluster coordination within a complex country programme in an emergency response or protracted crisis, including experience in first phase emergency response, is strongly desirable.
- Relevant experience in programme management in Education within a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience of Education Cluster/ Sector/ Working Group coordination is desirable.
- Experience in effective leadership and management of teams to deliver results in high stress/risk environments is desirable.
- Experience at international level is preferred.
- Experience in developing contexts an added advantage.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
