See your match score & applyUNICEF Senegal is recruiting an Education Officer to support interventions related to girls’ education, inclusive education, assistive technology and empowerment of vulnerable children and adolescents. The role involves programme development, management, monitoring, technical support, partnership building, and capacity building.
Responsibilities
- Support to programme development and planning.
- Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results.
- Technical and operational support to programme implementation.
- Networking and partnership building.
- Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.
Requirements
- University degree in education, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field is required.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required.
- Skills in gender equality, adolescent empowerment, Programme Management, Results-Based Management, evidence use, coordination.
- Fluency in French and English is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is desirable.
- Experience related to girls’ education, inclusive education, disability inclusion, assistive technology, gender-transformative programming, education data analysis, partnership engagement or collaboration with government education systems is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
