ECD Consultant to Provide Technical Assistance to support quality ECD programme implementation in NTT

The consultant will support programme implementation at district and school levels in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to improve learning, nutrition, and wellbeing outcomes for children aged 4–12 years. Responsibilities include working with government partners, ECD centres, and primary schools to strengthen nutrition education and services, support teachers, build stakeholder capacity, and assist district authorities in planning and budgeting under UNICEF supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support programme implementation at district and school levels.
• Work with government partners, ECD centres, and primary schools to strengthen nutrition education and services.
• Support teachers in integrating nutrition topics into learning activities.
• Build stakeholder capacity.
• Assist district authorities in developing sustainable plans and budgets.
• Support coordination, monitoring, and implementation of programme activities under the supervision of UNICEF Kupang Field Office.

Requirements

• A university degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other social science field is required.
• Master’s degree is preferable.
• 5 years of professional experience in early childhood development, social development planning and management in education and related areas at the international and/or in a developing country is required.
• Practical expertise on capacity building including module development and training facilitation; good communication.
• Relevant experience in education and related areas, program/project development and management in East Nusa Tenggara Province and in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.
• Native proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia, with strong spoken and written English communication skills.
