See your match score & applyThe purpose of this consultancy is to generate reliable, disaggregated and integrated education evidence by analysing administrative and household survey datasets and transforming the findings into analytical reports, knowledge products and interactive dashboards that strengthen evidence-based planning, budgeting, monitoring and policy dialogue at national and state levels. The outputs developed under this consultancy will support UNICEF's national and state offices and will be shared with national and state government counterparts to strengthen data-informed planning, implementation and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Generate reliable, disaggregated and integrated education evidence by analysing administrative and household survey datasets.
- Transform findings into analytical reports, knowledge products and interactive dashboards.
- Strengthen evidence-based planning, budgeting, monitoring and policy dialogue at national and state levels.
- Support UNICEF's national and state offices with data analysis and knowledge generation.
- Share outputs with national and state government counterparts to strengthen data-informed planning, implementation and decision-making.
Requirements
- Master`s university degree in Demography/Statistics /Population studies / Education/ or another relevant social science field
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data analysis, monitoring, research, and evaluation in social sector.
- Strong understanding of quantitative data analysis, monitoring, research and data visualization.
- Demonstrated experience in analysing large-scale administrative and household survey datasets, including UDISE+, NAS, NSS, NFHS, ASER, Census, PGI and other national databases, using statistical software and data visualization tools.
- Advanced skills in SPSS, STATA, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Proven experience in developing Power BI dashboards, including the design and development of interactive dashboards for data visualization.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- English and Hindi language proficiency.
- Prior experience working with UN, government agencies, or INGOs is an asset.
- Submission of Curriculum Vitae (CV) clearly demonstrating how the candidate meets all the requirements outlined in the ToR.
- Submission of Cover Letter (maximum 2 pages) outlining understanding of the scope of work and activities, motivation to undertake the assignment, and suitability/fit for the role.
- Submission of three relevant writing samples produced within the last 3 years: Data analysis sample demonstrating quantitative data analysis skills using SPSS, STATA or equivalent statistical software; Power BI sample demonstrating skill of developing Power BI dashboard; Written output sample demonstrating quality of written outputs such as reports, briefs, or presentations.
