The consultant will provide technical assistance to operational teams and local partners in participating communes to strengthen communication and community engagement interventions for the 1000 Days Supplementation Project. This role supports the mapping of nutrition interventions, analysis of community knowledge and practices, and deployment of community engagement models in Benin.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to operational teams and local partners in participating communes to strengthen communication and community engagement interventions for the 1000 Days Supplementation Project.
• Support mapping of nutrition interventions and stakeholders including community platforms.
• Analyze community knowledge, practices, and perceptions regarding nutrition.
• Support deployment of the community engagement model in implementation communes.

Requirements

• Be a communication specialist with a minimum of a Master's degree (Bac+5) in communication, social sciences, behavioral sciences (sociology, anthropology, psychology, community development).
• More than 5 years of experience in planning and managing communication programs for social and behavior change with practical experience in community engagement for nutrition.
• At least five years of experience in planning and managing communication programs for social and behavior change, with practical experience in community participation and engagement.
• Proven experience in developing communication plans and establishing databases.
• Experience in nutrition promotion interventions.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluating communication interventions or equivalent field.
• Proven expertise in designing monitoring and evaluation tools for communication is an asset.
• Excellent knowledge of French.
• Knowledge of one or two languages of the assigned departments is an asset.
• Experience working with the United Nations system and possession of a driving license A are assets.
