This position supports the Ecosystem Engagement team with administrative activities, communication functions, and project management delivery. The role includes managing the team’s budget, supporting internal communication, knowledge management, events, and procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Ecosystem Engagement team with overall administrative activities.
  • Assist the Communication Manager and Knowledge Management Specialist with communication functions and project management delivery.
  • Manage the team’s budget effectively.
  • Support internal communication and project management (30%).
  • Support knowledge management, events, and webinars (25%).
  • Handle procurement, travel, invoice processing, and attendance.

Requirements

  • Completion of Secondary Education is required.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant administrative or clerical work experience required.
  • Experience maintaining repositories, intranet pages, or collaboration platforms and uploading/documenting the content is required.
  • Proven experience organizing meetings, preparing agendas/materials, and supporting webinars or knowledge-sharing sessions, is required.
  • Hands-on experience supporting budget preparation, monitoring utilization, and ensuring compliance with rules (e.g., grants tracking, expenditure monitoring), is required.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Experience in project management and coordination is an asset.
  • Experience in writing and editing is an asset, including identifying compelling and engaging stories relevant to staff working with the private sector.
  • Experience and familiarity with UNICEF policies, procedures, and systems (VISION, eTools, SharePoint), is an asset.
  • UN/UNICEF experience is an asset.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
