Child Protection Officer (Bhashan Char)

The Child Protection Officer (NOA) is responsible for supporting effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the child protection programme in Bhasan Char and Cox's Bazar. The role involves providing professional technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for child protection programmes/projects.

Requirements

• A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Social Science, Law, Social Work or any other related fields is required.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Child Protection is required.
• Experience of working with the UN, NGOs, and/or relevant sectors and subsectors is required.
• Strong coordination and communication skills are required.
• Fluency in English and Bangla are required.
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Chittagonian, Rohingya, or Burmese is an asset.
• Strong capacity-building/training skills and working in refugee settings are significant assets.
• Knowledge of Community based Child Protection Systems and Child Protection Information Management is a significant asset.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to produce high-quality written work is an asset.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
