See your match score & applyThe Adolescent and HIV/AIDS Specialist provides technical, administrative and operational support to ensure adolescent development and participation and child rights are integrated in UNICEF's advocacy policies, programmes and humanitarian work. The role supports programme development, management, monitoring, partnership building, and capacity building to achieve sustainable results in adolescent health and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to programme development and planning.
- Manage programme monitoring and delivery of results.
- Provide technical and operational support to programme implementation.
- Build networks and partnerships.
- Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.
Requirements
- An advanced university degree (Master or equivalent) in health, anthropology, psychology, sociology, education or another relevant technical field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in social development planning and management in adolescent health and development related areas is required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Networking skills.
- Strategic planning capabilities.
- Reporting capabilities.
- Fluency in French is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of English is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is desirable.
- Experience in NGOs, UN systems or youth engagement strategies is an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
