The Programme Associate Midwifery Training supports UNFPA's country programme and project implementation in Indonesia, focusing on midwifery training projects such as the SPEED Indonesia project funded by KOICA. The role involves assisting in project design, planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and coordination with government and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in compiling and analyzing information relevant to midwifery to inform project implementation, including drafting work plans of the SPEED project.
  • Support analysis of data to ensure midwifery training interventions meet quality standards outlined in project documents.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of midwifery training project activities, assist in tracking progress, and contribute to identifying corrective actions.
  • Participate in field visits, review meetings, and evaluation missions; prepare regular inputs to status and progress reports.
  • Coordinate project delivery including managing budgets, tracking expenditures, preparing financial utilization reports, and ensuring donor compliance.
  • Provide coordination support for advocacy and resource mobilisation efforts, establish and maintain donor and public information contacts, assist in organizing donor meetings and public information events.
  • Provide logistical support by coordinating project-related meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Train and guide project personnel on national execution and programme policies and procedures.
  • Assist in implementing knowledge management strategies to capture lessons learned and best practices for future planning.

Requirements

  • Completed Secondary Level Education required. A first level university degree in Medicine or midwifery is desirable.
  • Minimum of seven years relevant work experience in assisting Programme/Project Management in the field of health, midwifery, gender equality, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience in working with various stakeholders, including government, NGOs.
  • Experience in working with UN agencies is desirable.
  • Proficiency in current office software application and corporate IT systems.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English and Indonesian.
