CCAC Scaling up Coordinator for the Super Pollutants Accelerator in Mexico (re-advertised)

The CCAC Scaling up Coordinator for the Super Pollutants Accelerator in Mexico will support the Government of Mexico in enhancing the mitigation impact of the Accelerator Programme on SLCPs by identifying funding opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, supporting proposal development, and ensuring effective coordination of the funding pipeline to support scaled-up action on super pollutants and sustainability of mitigation actions beyond CCAC support.

Responsibilities

• Enhance coordination and impact of SLCP/super pollutant initiatives by strengthening alignment between technical assistance and related initiatives.
• Identify funding opportunities and cultivate strategic partnerships to support scaled-up action on super pollutants.
• Support proposal development and ensure effective coordination of the funding pipeline.
• Prepare and submit funding proposals and concept notes targeting national, bilateral, and multilateral sources.
• Establish financial tracking system and reports on monitoring resource mobilization and allocation.
• Design and implement resource mobilization and strategic partnerships training programs for the Super pollutant Unit or for the government.
• Develop sustainability, financial and institutionalization plan for Accelerator program and related technical assistance projects beyond CCAC funding.
• Produce strategic engagement and positioning materials linking national implementation with international processes.
• Establish bilateral partnerships on super pollutant mitigation.
• Coordinate participation and follow-up in key international fora, supported by aligned planning and reporting.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in environmental management, public policy, international development, international relations, finance, or related field.
• A first‑level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
• 5–8 years of experience in climate project management, grant writing, and donor coordination—preferably in Latin America or within Mexican public institutions is required.
• Proven track record in accessing international climate finance (GCF, IDB, etc.) and navigating public procurement/budgeting processes is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are required.
• Ability to work across technical, financial, and political domains is required.
• Experience working collaboratively with technical, programme, finance and operational teams to develop funding opportunities is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral presentations are required.
• Knowledge of the national policies in climate change mitigation and air pollution is required.
• A good understanding of short-lived climate pollutants, climate change and air pollution issues in Mexico is required.
• Professional training or certification in fundraising, partnership development, or business development is desirable.
• Experience with CCAC, UNFCCC, NDC implementation and related process is desired.
• Experience supporting or coordinating donor engagement and relationship management is desired.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and to collaborate with multidisciplinary team is desired.
