See your match score & applyThe Project Management Specialist will assist in providing high-quality professional project implementation support and technical advice in the delivery of the EU-PH Green Economy Partnership project, focusing on advancing circular economy practices at the local government level in the Philippines. The role involves project management, partnership building, technical guidance, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation and achievement of outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and assistance in the overall implementation of the project, including strategic support and guidance on circular economy approaches.
- Contribute to day-to-day project management, delivery, quality checks, and documentation of progress towards outputs and outcomes.
- Identify innovative and context-specific areas of engagement and opportunities for interventions and learning.
- Support project monitoring, evaluation, and risk management to ensure timely achievement of targets.
- Oversee project activities including work plans, budget monitoring, procurement, and supplier performance.
- Supervise project staff including LGU advisors, technical specialists, consultants, and partners.
- Strengthen partnerships with national government agencies, private sector, civil society, and local stakeholders including youth and GEDSI groups.
- Represent the project at strategic and technical meetings and events, and contribute to communications and visibility efforts.
- Ensure timely documentation of project activities, lessons learned, and best practices for reporting and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in writing and reviewing project reports, policy briefs, and assessment documents.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Environmental Management, Engineering, Economics, Industrial Ecology, Sustainable Development, or other relevant fields is required, or; A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional 2 years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A minimum of 7 years (with master´s degree) or 9 years (with bachelor´s degree) of professional experience including project management, preferably in environmental or sustainable development projects.
- Experience in managing multi-stakeholder partnerships and coordinating with government agencies, private sector, and civil society organizations.
- Technical knowledge of circular economy concepts, policies, and tools, including waste management, resource recovery, and sustainable public procurement.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, budget monitoring, and procurement processes in project implementation.
- Strong communication skills including report writing, briefing notes, and advocacy materials.
- Ability to conduct field visits and provide technical guidance on project implementation.
- Proficiency in English and Filipino languages.
