See your match score & applyThe Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will provide support for information management, monitoring and evaluation for the UN India SDG Country Fund. The role involves developing MEL frameworks, coordinating data collection and analysis, facilitating learning and adaptation, and capacity building to support the Fund's operations and communication efforts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive MEL frameworks, plans, and tools for the initiatives under the Fund, in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Design data collection methods to capture outputs, outcomes, and impacts.
- Establish baseline data and performance indicators to track progress and outcomes over time.
- Coordinate the collection, validation, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Ensure data quality through regular monitoring, validation, and verification procedures.
- Analyse MEL data to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to performance and impact.
- Prepare regular MEL reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key findings, achievements, and challenges.
- Facilitate learning sessions and workshops with relevant staff and partners to reflect on MEL findings, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Support the integration of MEL findings into planning, implementation, and decision-making processes.
- Identify opportunities for adaptation and improvement based on MEL results and stakeholder feedback.
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to personnel, and partners on MEL methodologies, tools, and practices.
- Strengthen MEL capacities within the organization through knowledge sharing, documentation, and institutional learning.
- Perform other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Requirements
- Advanced University degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Information Management, Statistics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Science, or any other relevant field is required.
- Or a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), programme monitoring and reporting, data collection and analysis, information management, results-based management, research, or other related areas.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and data visualization, with demonstrated ability to aggregate and synthesize information, extract key insights, and present findings effectively is an asset.
- Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data management, is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage M&E activities within project timelines and budgets, including planning, implementation, and reporting.
- Proven experience in understanding different evaluation frameworks and methodologies is desirable.
- Experience working with UN agencies, multilateral organizations, or international NGOs is highly desired.
- Fluency in Hindi and English is required.
- Additional certification in MEL is considered an asset.
