See your match score & applyThe Driver will provide reliable and secure driving services for project activities, ensuring safe transport of personnel and materials, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to UNDP and local regulations. The role supports the achievement of project outputs related to climate-resilient WASH and education infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
Responsibilities
- Provide reliable and secure driving services using project vehicle including transport of authorized personnel and delivery of mail and documents.
- Drive safely and responsibly.
- Assist with delivery of official correspondence and logistics including customs clearance and airport visits.
- Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities.
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle including checks of oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, electrolyte levels.
- Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, and report monthly to Programme Manager.
- Ensure cost-saving through proper use and maintenance of the vehicle.
- Perform minor repairs that do not require special tools and keep the vehicle clean.
- Provide monthly reports on vehicle technical condition and planned expenses.
- Take immediate actions required by rules and laws in case of accidents or traffic violations.
- Perform other duties within functional profile as assigned including assisting with pouch, procurement, workshops, and administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Secondary education is required.
- A valid driving license is required (category B).
- Minimum 2 years (with secondary education) of work experience as a driver with a safe driving record.
- Proven track record of good knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.
- Experience in the basic use of computers and relevant office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and ability to use web-based management and electronic log, file and/or scheduling systems.
- Previous work for an international organization and companies would be considered an advantage.
- Proven experience in client orientation.
- Experience of working in a team.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance.
- Fluency in Uzbek and Russian is required.
- Knowledge of English is advantage.
