Analista Territorial de Proyecto

The Analista Territorial de Proyecto will support the implementation of the Corredores de Resiliencia project in coordination with national entities, environmental authorities, and local governments to strengthen sustainable processes for integrated wildfire management, regenerative ecosystem restoration, and climate adaptation in prioritized territories. The role involves strategic coordination, technical leadership, knowledge management, and capacity building within the project framework.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic coordination, project management, and institutional articulation including financing coordination with the Government of Canada for the BioSur strategy.
• Coordinate financing and territorial implementation of the project in the BioSur corridor (22 municipalities of Nariño and 4 municipalities of Alto Putumayo), ensuring planning, execution, and monitoring of wildfire prevention and management, regenerative restoration, and conservation activities.
• Promote integration of the project within the BioSur strategy and participate in coordination activities with stakeholders.
• Contribute to programmatic articulation of UNDP in the territory, linking the project with other initiatives and positioning its technical offer as a territorial value proposition.
• Identify and manage initial programmatic and financial opportunities to expand and consolidate UNDP presence in the territory.
• Promote and strengthen strategic alliances with territorial actors to mobilize technical and financial capacities, scale impacts, and position UNDP as a key development partner.
• Lead technical and operational coordination of the territorial project team in Nariño, guiding planning, execution, and monitoring of field activities in coordination with central coordination and component specialists.
• Support technical sessions in the field as required, coordinating with component leaders and territorial liaisons.
• Verify activities performed by third parties related to restoration agreements, nurseries, plant material establishment, and enclosures.
• Support technical guidance of strategic actions under the GEF BioSur project and ensure proper implementation.
• Manage technical and thematic project information including collection, validation, analysis, systematization, and georeferencing ensuring quality and traceability.
• Support reporting and monitoring activities required by donors and internal counterparts.
• Participate in training and organize informational sessions on internal procedures for project staff.
• Support capacity development activities including design and delivery of tools, materials for workshops, or platforms that leverage community collective intelligence and promote action.
• Support dissemination and exchange of lessons learned within the country office and regionally, contributing to knowledge networks and communities of practice.
• Support collection and systematization of project knowledge, products, and tools and their broad distribution to partners.
• Accompany and support implementation and compliance with social and environmental standards aligned with Colombian regulations and UNDP guidelines considering sociocultural context.
• Support local capacity strengthening processes aimed at institutions and communities to reduce information gaps, inequities, and increase climate adaptation.

Requirements

• Master's Degree or equivalent in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Climate Change, Risk Management, Sustainable Development or related fields is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering or related fields with 2 years of relevant experience is considered in lieu of a Master's degree.
• Applicants with a Master's degree do not require professional work experience.
• Applicants with a Bachelor's degree must have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in environmental project implementation or coordination, biodiversity conservation, or sustainable development in Nariño department.
• Experience in participatory processes with local communities, indigenous peoples, and territorial and interinstitutional organizations oriented to sustainable territorial management.
• Experience in climate change adaptation approaches, nature-based solutions, and/or regenerative restoration.
• Experience in managing technical and financial partnerships aimed at resource mobilization and sustainability of high-impact territorial interventions.
• Experience in interinstitutional articulation and coordination at the territorial level, including relationships with local authorities, private sector, community actors, and international cooperation.
• Previous experience in projects funded by international cooperation or implemented under international agency procedures.
• Experience working with cross-cutting approaches of gender, environmental and social safeguards, social inclusion, and interculturality.
• Experience in analysis, systematization of information, use of planning and monitoring tools for quantitative and qualitative indicators, and results reporting.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
