The Programme Assistant provides programme, administrative and operational support for the effective implementation of UN Women's programme portfolio in Armenia. The incumbent supports programme planning and implementation, financial and administrative processes, monitoring and reporting, partner coordination, procurement, logistics, knowledge management and communications, ensuring compliance with UN Women policies, procedures and donor requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to programme implementation including preparation of work plans, schedules, and administrative documentation.
  • Support financial and operational processes such as creating and updating projects in Quantum system, procurement, invoice processing, payment requests, and budget tracking.
  • Organize logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, training sessions, missions, and other programme events.
  • Support resource mobilization and partnership activities by maintaining donor records and assisting in donor reports.
  • Support knowledge management by organizing programme documents, lessons learned, and training sessions.
  • Provide administrative support to office security arrangements including maintaining personnel and emergency contact lists and reporting security incidents.
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned to support programme activities and office functioning.

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Political Science, Gender Studies, Law, or a related field is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years (with secondary education) or 2 years (with a bachelor's degree) of progressively responsible experience in administrative support, project support, office administration, or programme implementation is required.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
  • Knowledge of UN Women/UNDP procurement and financial rules and regulation is an additional advantage.
  • Work experience in the field of gender equality and women’s empowerment is desirable.
  • Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
  • Fluency in English and Armenian languages is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish).
