See your match score & applyThe Programme Assistant supports the Programme Analyst and team in the development and implementation of programmes focused on women's economic empowerment in Uzbekistan. The role involves providing programme, financial, administrative, and logistical assistance to ensure smooth programme implementation consistent with UN Women rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the formulation and management of programmes including planning, monitoring, implementation, and audit support.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide support for conferences, trainings, workshops, and procurement.
- Provide administrative support to the financial management of the Programme Unit including budget monitoring, preparation of FACE forms, processing payments, and managing Quantum system entries.
- Undertake logistical, administrative and financial arrangements for meetings, workshops, events, and missions including travel arrangements and documentation.
- Act as liaison between project team and stakeholders to facilitate communication and alignment.
- Support research and analysis to inform team activities and optimize strategies.
- Provide administrative support to knowledge building and sharing activities including training organization.
- Support resource mobilization by organizing and processing donor and programme documentation.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Completion of secondary education is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration is desirable.
- At least 5 years with secondary education or 2 years with Bachelor's degree of progressively responsible experience in administrative or programme management/support is required.
- Experience in working in a computer environment using multiple office software packages is required.
- Experience in the use of ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.
- Experience in civil society organizations and understanding of civil society landscape is an asset.
- Proved knowledge of gender equality, women’s empowerment and sustainable development is an asset.
- Previous experience in the United Nations is an asset.
- Experience in supporting teams in complex environments is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in Uzbek is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish).
