See your match score & applyThe Programme Analyst supports the effective management and implementation of UN Women’s Women, Peace and Security (WPS) portfolio in Armenia and the South Caucasus. The role involves providing substantive technical support to programme design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, as well as leading policy dialogue, advocacy, capacity development, and inter-agency coordination to advance the WPS agenda.
Responsibilities
- Contribute technically to the development of programme strategies in the area of regional WPS programme.
- Provide substantive inputs to the design and formulation of programme/project proposals and initiatives; identify areas for support and intervention related to the programme.
- Provide substantive technical support to the implementation and management of the regional WPS programme including annual workplan and budget inputs, leading implementation of activities, coordinating calls for proposals, reviewing partner reports, and training partners on Results Based Management.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity development to project/programme partners, including coordination, development of knowledge products, and facilitating trainings.
- Provide technical inputs to monitoring and reporting of the programme/project, including progress monitoring, drafting reports, and donor reporting.
- Provide substantive technical inputs to the management of people and finances of the WPS programme, including budget monitoring and financial reporting.
- Provide substantive inputs to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies, including preparing documentation and participating in donor meetings.
- Provide technical support to inter-agency coordination on WPS to achieve coherence and alignment of UN Women programmes with other partners in the country.
- Provide substantive inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts, including developing background documents, coordinating advocacy campaigns, and knowledge management.
- Perform other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/women's studies, international development, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage.
- At least 2 years (with a Master's degree) or 4 years (with a Bachelor's degree) of progressively responsible professional experience in programme management and implementation in the areas of gender equality, women, peace and security, peacebuilding, conflict prevention, humanitarian action, or governance.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on complex, multi-stakeholder programmes, preferably at the regional or multi-country level.
- Experience applying Results-Based Management (RBM), results monitoring, and donor reporting frameworks.
- Experience managing partnerships with government institutions, civil society organizations, women's organizations, UN agencies and development partners.
- Experience managing grants and partnerships with implementing partners, including proposal review, partner capacity assessments, monitoring, and reporting.
- Experience contributing to resource mobilization, proposal development, and donor engagement.
- Experience organizing and facilitating technical consultations, trainings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events.
- Experience working in conflict-affected, post-conflict, or fragile contexts is highly desirable.
- Experience within the UN system or another international organization is an asset.
- Fluency in English and Armenian languages is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish).
