The National Consultant supports the implementation of UN Women’s Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) portfolio in Kyrgyzstan, focusing on digital skills, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion. The role involves assisting with project activities, event organization, partnership engagement, monitoring, documentation, and communications to promote women’s economic empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of project activities including preparation of plans, participant lists, agendas, and background materials.
  • Maintain communication with participants, partners, and service providers to support activity implementation.
  • Assist in organizing WEE events including preparation of programmes, invitations, logistical arrangements, and on-site support.
  • Support communication and follow-up with speakers, partners, and participants before, during, and after events.
  • Assist in outreach and follow-up with existing and potential WEE partners including government, financial institutions, private sector, and civil society.
  • Maintain and update records of activities, participants, and project progress.
  • Support documentation of lessons learned, good practices, and results from project activities and events.
  • Assist in preparing progress updates, presentations, and other materials as required.
  • Support communications and visibility efforts including collection and organization of photographs, stories, and partner inputs.
  • Provide administrative support to the team for timely implementation of activities.
  • Participate in meetings and coordination discussions and support follow-up on action points.
  • Assist in translating speeches, documents, and other relevant materials related to WEE.
  • Support donor reporting and documentation for the Stirling Foundation project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in project coordination, women’s economic empowerment, or related areas.
  • Experience in supporting project implementation, event management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to prepare activity plans, agendas, and background materials.
  • Experience in communication and follow-up with participants, partners, and service providers.
  • Skills in documentation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities.
  • Ability to support communications and visibility efforts including collecting stories and coordinating media content.
  • Proficiency in organizing events and logistical arrangements.
  • Experience in partnership outreach and engagement with government, private sector, and civil society.
  • Ability to assist in translating speeches and documents related to WEE.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Commitment to UN Women’s core values and competencies.
  • Ability to work primarily office-based with possible travel as required.
