ONU Mujeres busca contratar una consultoría para fortalecer las capacidades organizativas, de gobernanza y gestión de ocho organizaciones de pesca, piangua y acuicultura en Tumaco, Nariño, con enfoque de género y masculinidades corresponsables, promoviendo la participación efectiva de mujeres y jóvenes y la sostenibilidad de la cadena de valor.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and agree on a detailed work plan and schedule for the consultancy with validation from the Project Coordination and ONU Mujeres Nariño Suboffice.
  • Support ONU Mujeres and FAO technical teams in conducting a comprehensive capacity diagnosis of the eight organizations, identifying strengths, gaps and needs in governance, gender mainstreaming, care responsibilities and masculinities.
  • Design and deliver participatory training methodologies focused on gender and masculinities to support strategic direction of the organizations and the supply and marketing network.
  • Facilitate consensus on organizational structure, decision-making mechanisms, roles and responsibilities ensuring effective participation of women and youth.
  • Provide technical assistance in leadership election or designation and governance instrument development to ensure women's and youth's effective participation.
  • Support review and adjustment of foundational documents for the supply and marketing network to include quotas ensuring parity and participation of women and youth in decision-making roles.
  • Promote and facilitate creation of management committees with active and equitable representation of women and youth.
  • Facilitate collective construction and formalization of a Community Agreement on Care Responsibilities addressing equitable redistribution of care tasks, time management and prevention of gender-based violence.
  • Develop training modules oriented to organizational strengthening with a transversal gender and masculinities approach.
  • Provide technical and conceptual assistance for key message construction and pedagogical content for strategic communication products.
  • Maintain continuous coordination and communication with project stakeholders including ONU Mujeres National and Nariño Suboffice, FAO, implementing partners and consultants.
  • Support implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation component through coordination of baseline and exit line exercises, data collection, validation, processing, analysis and reporting.
  • Comply with ONU Mujeres Colombia programmatic, M&E and operational requirements including data collection and reporting procedures.
  • Participate actively in coordination meetings, technical committees and follow-up spaces convened by ONU Mujeres.
  • Maintain articulation with key entities such as the Secretariat of Women, Secretariat of Agriculture, Fisheries and Economic Development of Tumaco Municipality, AUNAP, DIMAR, CORPONARIÑO, SENA, among others.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to counterparts to improve technical quality of documents and operations ensuring contributions to cultural transformation towards just and inclusive relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in organizational strengthening with a gender perspective and masculinities.
  • Ability to design and implement participatory training methodologies with a gender and intersectional approach.
  • Experience in governance, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Knowledge of gender equality, prevention of gender-based violence, and economic autonomy of women.
  • Experience in coordinating and supporting baseline and exit line data collection, processing, analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to facilitate consensus-building and organizational decision-making processes.
  • Experience working with community organizations, preferably in fisheries or aquaculture sectors.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders including government, UN agencies, and civil society.
  • Ability to produce technical and pedagogical materials for communication and training.
  • Commitment to gender equality and cultural transformation towards inclusive and equitable relations.
