See your match score & applyThe Programme Management Assistant will support the coordination, planning, monitoring, and administrative activities of the Human Rights Service within UNAMA. The role involves programme/project administration, budget monitoring, data management, and logistical support to ensure effective programme delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist and provide support in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation work for the Human Rights Service.
- Monitor status of programme/project proposals and receipt of relevant documentation for review and approval.
- Research, compile, summarise and present basic information/data on specific programmes/projects and related topics or issues.
- Coordinate programme/project planning and preparation; monitor status of proposals; review project documents for completeness and compliance prior to submission for approval.
- Prepare and analyse programme/project budget proposals; review and coordinate submission ensuring requisite information is included and justified.
- Monitor and evaluate programmes/projects; categorize, update, track and analyse data related to programmes/projects including accounting records and outputs.
- Carry out periodic status reviews, identify issues and initiate follow-up actions; prepare revised budget estimates and report on budget revisions, expenditures and obligations.
- Draft programme/project summaries and coordinate review and clearance process.
- Compile, summarise and present basic information/data on project/programme delivery; draft related status reports identifying shortfalls and budget overruns.
- Serve as focal point for administrative coordination of programme/project implementation activities involving liaison with diverse organizational units.
- Provide general office assistance; respond to complex information requests and inquiries; maintain electronic files and records; assist in maintaining databases; organize meetings and events.
- Draft correspondence and communications related to programme/project administration including work plans and budgets.
- Translate documents and interpret at meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation or related area is required.
- The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to four (4) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
- Experience in information and data management and analytics, and in report writing, is required.
- Experience in programme/project financial management is required.
- Experience in programme/project administration and technical cooperation in relation to communities at risk or vulnerable populations is desirable.
- English is required at UN Level III proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Dari is required at UN Level III proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Pashto is required at UN Level III proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
