See your match score & applyThe Management and Programme Analyst position supports the implementation of enterprise risk management across the UN Secretariat, focusing on digital risk management solutions and data analysis. The role involves programme/project management, policy development, training, and supporting the Secretariat-wide ERM framework.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the development, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of programmes/projects related to enterprise risk management (ERM) framework at Secretariat-wide and entity level.
- Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation; reviews documents and reports; identifies problems and proposes corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; tracks follow-up actions using ERP-based risk management tools and system-generated data.
- Performs consulting assignments by planning and facilitating workshops and assisting in developing client action plans for change management.
- Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources.
- Assists in enterprise risk management policy development, including review and analysis of best practices.
- Undertakes survey initiatives; designs data collection tools; reviews, analyzes and interprets responses; identifies problems/issues and prepares conclusions.
- Prepares various written outputs such as draft background papers, analysis, report sections, mission summaries and inputs to publications.
- Provides substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences, including proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, and preparing documents and presentations.
- Undertakes outreach activities; conducts enterprise risk management training workshops, seminars; makes presentations on assigned topics including Umoja Risk Management and related tools.
- Supports activities to define a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework across the Secretariat to identify, assess, manage and monitor risks and internal controls.
- Supports the development and maintenance of methodology and practices related to ERM implementation, including Umoja Risk Management module; supports ERM focal points in departments and offices in developing and maintaining risk registers and treatment plans.
- Participates in missions, provides guidance to external consultants and other parties, drafts mission summaries as applicable.
- Collects and analyzes data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through data visualization methods to enable data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation and reporting.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, management or a related field.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise risk management, project or programme management, administration or related area is required.
- Experience in applying enterprise risk management frameworks in conjunction with system-based tools, including ERP (e.g. SAP/Umoja) or similar platforms, is required.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting, including the use of dashboards, as well as supporting user adoption, training or knowledge management tools (e.g. SharePoint), is required.
- Two years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
- English language proficiency at UN Level II in reading, writing, listening and speaking is required.
