Intern-Graphic Design, Videography and Social Media

The Office of the Special Adviser on Africa (OSAA) seeks an intern to support its Communications Team with graphic design, video production, social media content, and data visualization. The internship is full-time, in-person, and designed to support OSAA's advisory, advocacy, coordination, and monitoring functions focused on Africa's development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in layout and design of OSAA knowledge products such as factsheets, policy briefs, and papers.
• Support the creation of digital assets including flyers, visuals, and graphics.
• Provide technical assistance in preparing visual assets for OSAA publications.
• Support the production and editing of multimedia content for OSAA's social media accounts.
• Assist in preparing multimedia content for OSAA's social media and website.
• Support improvements to the layout and presentation of existing content.
• Assist in creating simple data visualizations for reports and presentations.
• Provide technical input for improving the visual quality of OSAA materials.

Requirements

• Applicants must be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) or be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
• A field of study closely related to graphic design, videography, social media, or communications is required.
• Applicants must provide proof of enrollment or completion of the relevant degree programme.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is required.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
• Knowledge of an additional official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage.
