The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), through its Subregional Office for East and North-East Asia (SOENEA), supports regional cooperation and sustainable development initiatives in North-East Asia. The internship programme is for a period of three to six months, unpaid and full time, supporting communications and multimedia production activities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce event flyers, posters, factsheets, infographics, and visual communication materials.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and communication products.
  • Produce short promotional video clips and event highlights.
  • Support website and social media content development.
  • Assist in photography, video editing, and multimedia production.
  • Support branding and layout design in accordance with UN visual identity guidelines.
  • Assist in outreach and visibility activities related to meetings and regional forums.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship.
  • Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
