As a TeamUp begeleider, you will support the mental wellbeing of refugee children aged 6 to 18 through sport, play, and movement activities across various locations in the South Netherlands. You will organize and facilitate weekly sessions, contribute to administrative tasks, and help identify children needing specialized support.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate TeamUp sport, play, and movement activities for children and youth aged 6 to 18 at various shelter locations in the South Netherlands (Brabant and Limburg).
  • Serve as a flexible regional coordinator covering multiple locations on specified weekdays.
  • Work with colleagues and volunteers to implement the TeamUp method and tailor sessions to children's needs.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as attendance lists and writing evaluations.
  • Contribute to quality assurance of TeamUp implementation and execution.
  • Identify and report concerning behavior to ensure children receive specialized help when needed.
  • Participate in training and learning sessions to master the TeamUp method and improve skills.

Requirements

  • Experience organizing and conducting activities for children aged 6 to 18 with sports elements is a plus.
  • Experience working with teenagers is preferred.
  • Education or current study in sports and movement, education, or psychomotor therapy at minimum MBO4 level.
  • Proficiency in Dutch (minimum A2 level) and English sufficient for collaboration; knowledge of other languages spoken by children in the shelters (e.g., Arabic, Farsi, Tigrinya, Turkish) is a plus.
  • Authorization to work long-term in the Netherlands.
  • Possession of a driving license and car is a plus due to location accessibility; travel reimbursement provided.
  • Residence in the region, preferably near Weert/Eindhoven due to location and travel time; applications from outside the region will not be considered unless willing to relocate.
