The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of the supply chain for the Nutrir para Aprender project, ensuring effective implementation of the Procurement Plan, strict compliance with donor requirements (USDA), and timely delivery of essential goods and services to the program. The role involves strategic sourcing, optimizing efficiency and costs, and balancing operational efficiency with compliance and value for money.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the Procurement Plan for the project, ensuring timely execution aligned with program objectives, budget, and schedules (DIP).
  • Ensure a strategic sourcing approach using the procurement pipeline to optimize efficiency, costs, and supply continuity.
  • Prioritize critical categories (e.g., logistics, school infrastructure) to ensure availability and support program implementation.
  • Balance operational efficiency, compliance, and value for money with a focus on program delivery.
  • Apply additional quality standards to support high-quality implementation according to capacity, competencies, and knowledge.
  • Act as an ambassador of program excellence in all aspects of work within Save the Children.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related fields.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of proven relevant experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
  • Experience in international organizations / NGOs / humanitarian or development environment.
  • Experience in team coordination or staff supervision.
  • Experience in logistics management and/or distribution operations.
  • Experience in fleet management (planning, utilization, and cost control) is a relevant advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Experience with e-procurement systems (ProSave / SAP Ariba or similar).
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and internal control.
  • High negotiation skills, conflict management, and clear communication (desirable).
  • Strategic thinking, cost-effectiveness focus, and efficiency (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility (desirable).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure (desirable).
  • Proactivity in creating solutions and continuous process improvement (desirable).
