See your match score & applyThe consultant will conduct the endline evaluation study for the PEACE FOR ALL project assessing outcomes, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, sustainability, and impact of interventions related to school WASH, child protection, peacebuilding, and violence prevention. The study will use mixed-methods design with a GEDSI lens and child-participatory approaches to evaluate changes since baseline and generate lessons learned and recommendations for future programming.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct the endline evaluation study using a concurrent mixed-methods approach.
- Develop, adapt, and digitize data collection tools in Indonesian and English, ensuring contextual appropriateness and comparability with baseline data.
- Use Kobo Toolbox for data collection and ensure data disaggregation by gender, age, disability status, and school.
- Coordinate with Save the Children Indonesia and partner organizations for data collection and access to project documents.
- Engage with teachers, students, parents, school principals, local government officials, and other stakeholders for qualitative and quantitative data collection.
- Apply a GEDSI lens and child-participatory approaches to ensure inclusive and meaningful participation of children, including those with disabilities.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data separately and integrate findings for comprehensive understanding.
- Assess project outcomes, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, sustainability, and impact against baseline and targets.
- Generate evidence for donor reporting and internal learning.
- Document lessons learned, good practices, challenges, and provide recommendations for sustaining and strengthening project gains.
- Ensure reporting back to communities and children in accessible and child-friendly ways.
- Lead and manage the study team to meet project objectives and timelines.
Requirements
- Master's degree in relevant fields such as education, social sciences, public health, or related disciplines.
- At least 7 years of experience designing and conducting evaluations using mixed-methods (quantitative and qualitative) approaches.
- Experience in education-related studies, particularly child protection, gender, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), adolescent or reproductive health, and/or Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH).
- Proven ability to conduct ethical and inclusive studies involving marginalized, deprived, or vulnerable groups, especially children with disabilities.
- Experience with child participatory techniques is preferable.
- Demonstrated skills in managing and coordinating government, non-government, community groups, and academic stakeholders.
- Extensive experience with OECD-DAC evaluation criteria, particularly utilization and learning-focused evaluations.
- Strong knowledge of theories of change and their application in evaluations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-specialist audiences, including report writing and presentations.
- Track record of collaborative working with clients and flexibility to accommodate project changes.
- Leadership experience in managing complex study projects and leading teams.
- Availability of skilled resources to dedicate to the study over the project period.
