See your match score & applyThe Case Worker is responsible for implementing individual case management activities through a home-based approach, supporting vulnerable children under case management and alternative care within the Bekaa and Baalbek regions. The role involves working with children and their social environment, ensuring child safeguarding, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Implement individual case management of vulnerable children including alternative care support/solutions
- Identify cases and conduct outreach with dissemination of referral pathways
- Assess child’s social, biological, psychological situation and improvements
- Refer to relevant services and update service providers
- Follow-up on children at risk of separation or separated and unaccompanied children
- Develop multiple and flexible case plans with child, caregiver, and biological family
- Maintain confidential documentation including physical and digital records and CPIMS
- Provide timely feedback and reporting to line manager weekly and monthly
- Provide specialized psychosocial support activities when needed
- Work as a team member ensuring proper communication internally
- Coordinate with other sectors for holistic implementation
- Coordinate with other agencies and partners to ensure appropriate implementation in line with national policies
- Ensure strict adherence to child protection and safeguarding principles
- Comply with Save the Children policies on child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, social sciences or any related field
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
- 3 years of experience in child protection case management
- Participated in alternative care and other child protection related training
- Experience working in emergency context
- Training courses on communication, reporting, social policies are a plus
- Concise reporting skills, especially comprehensive report submitted to UPEL
- Worked with separated and unaccompanied children
- Experience in working with children at risk and families, experience in case management in the emergency response
- Experience in working with CPIMS systems for data management
- Understanding of social welfare systems and child protection mechanisms in Lebanon
- Ability to write and submit weekly and monthly reports, develop schedules and collect data
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
- Good communication skills with different stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience in implementing CP activities
- Experience in coordination with external stakeholders and service providers
- Dynamic, innovative, and able to take effective and timely decisions
- Self-initiator, with good team spirit, and creative in setting out realistic case plans
