The Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Manager will be responsible for building and managing strategic partnerships to enable programme delivery and fundraising. The role supports business development activities, coordinates with internal departments, and represents Plan International Jordan in external forums to promote collaboration and alignment with the Country Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Support Head of Resource Mobilisation in identifying funding opportunities and coordinating partners internally and externally.
  • Support drafting of responsive, compliant and high quality technical proposals to a range of donors.
  • Develop and implement guidance and tools to promote equitable partnership approaches and enhance program quality.
  • Ensure proper partnership management processes including due diligence, risk identification, partnership agreements, resource planning, and capacity strengthening plans.
  • Provide training to staff to promote equitable partnership approaches and improve partnership management.
  • Provide guidance on training materials and resources for partners to enhance their capacity.
  • Support development of partnership strategies aligned with Country strategy and organisational goals.
  • Work closely with other departments to harmonize tools, SOPs, guidelines and frameworks to support partnership and resource mobilisation.
  • Contribute to budget design to ensure alignment with partnership strategy.
  • Coordinate with internal departments as necessary.
  • Represent Plan in community and national platforms and meetings.
  • Develop and maintain strong external networks with partners to support consortia formation and resource mobilisation.
  • Maintain positive relationships with governmental partners and donors and support compliance with donor rules and regulations.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by line manager.
  • Ensure embedding of Plan International’s policies for Safeguarding Children, Gender Equality and Inclusion in area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • University degree in Social Work, Business, Social Sciences or another related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in project management in sectors of youth livelihood, Education, Child protection, SRHR or youth and women empowerment.
  • Knowledge of the context of Jordan with clear understanding of related legal and policies frameworks.
  • Previous experience in team leading and implementing through partners’ projects.
  • Experience in development projects in humanitarian or refugee settings, community-based, youth and women empowerment and community participation required.
  • Proven experience in working with government entities including follow up on the required approvals and has strong connections and network with different ministries and national stakeholders.
  • Familiar with government strategies, requirements and procedures.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Experience of working with partners.
  • Experience in working with donors including: EU, MADAD, ECHO, private donors.
  • Ability to communicate and maintain appropriate and productive relations with a range of actors, including children, parents, local and national authorities.
  • Flexible work attitude and ability to work independently within a small team.
  • Excellent knowledge of Arabic and English.
