See your match score & applyThe Project Officer will support youth-led and community-driven climate action initiatives in urban and coastal communities, working with communities, youth groups, and local partners to plan and deliver project activities, facilitate discussions and capacity-building, and document project progress.
Responsibilities
- Work with communities, youth groups, and local partners to plan and deliver project activities
- Facilitate community discussions, workshops, and capacity-building sessions
- Gather community data and help track project results and progress
- Prepare and monitor project requests, payments, and required documents
- Document project activities, stories, and lessons learned
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in social work, community development, behavioral sciences, DRRM, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience working with communities, youth, or development projects
- Experience facilitating community activities, trainings, or group discussions
- Good organization and documentation skills
- Passion for climate action, community development, and working with young people
- An advantage if you have training or experience in community organizing
- An advantage if you have training or experience in project management
- An advantage if you have training or experience in climate change adaptation or disaster resilience
