Coordinador/a de Proyecto - Generación Saludable (Jalapa-Baja Verapaz)

The purpose of this position is to manage and ensure the timely and quality formulation and implementation of the Generación Saludable project through all five project cycle stages, leading autonomous decisions. The role coordinates and strengthens the capacities of partners responsible for project execution within organizational guidelines and agreements with partners and donors, and leads management with various operational departments of Plan International.

Responsibilities

• Manage and fulfill the five stages of the project cycle ensuring timely and quality formulation and implementation of the Generación Saludable project.
• Lead autonomous decision-making related to the project.
• Coordinate and strengthen the capacities of partners responsible for project execution within organizational guidelines and agreements with partners and donors.
• Lead management with different operational departments of Plan International.

Requirements

• Studies in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work and/or related fields, Bachelor's degree or postgraduate desirable.
• Studies or experience in gender and development.
• Desirable knowledge in development, leadership, and comprehensive health.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management in social areas.
• Experience in processes of prevention of early pregnancies, forced unions, and involuntary pregnancies.
• Experience working with young leaders and rights activists.
• Experience working and coordinating with state institutions MINEDUC, MSPAS.
• Experience working in care of cases of GBV and SV.
• Previous experience working with community actors, parents.
• Experience in work and management of partners.
• Desirable experience working in Baja Verapaz and Jalapa.
• Driving skills and license for 4x4 vehicles.
