Finance Manager Syria

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial setup according to NRC standards and support programme/project implementation in Syria. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial policies, managing budgets and cash flow, training staff, and providing financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and adherence to Financial Handbook, NRC policies, donor and auditor requirements.
• Implement financial systems, routines, and procedures.
• Maintain and monitor budget control and cashflow.
• Line manage finance staff.
• Train staff with financial responsibilities.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis.
• Implement anti-corruption policy.

Requirements

• Senior financial management experience in a humanitarian/recovery context.
• Expertise in cash-based interventions and financial service provider assessments.
• Track record in financial systems and structures development, especially during change management processes.
• Proficiency in computer software and modern accounting systems.
• Exposure to start-up, change management, exit, or emergency response contexts.
• Knowledge of the Syria context.
• Experience working in complex and volatile contexts.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
