See your match score & applyThe Translation Project Manager supports the execution of translation assignments, ensuring that translation projects run smoothly and efficiently and meet clients' expectations. The role involves overseeing the entire life-cycle of translation projects, coordinating freelancers, and maintaining communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire life-cycle of translation projects under the guidance of the Deputy Head, Linguistic Services and Digital Transformation Lead.
- Support coordination of freelancers’ work and translation request planning.
- Ensure consistent communication between and with all stakeholders involved in the projects.
- Identify potential efficiency gains and recommend improvements throughout the translation project life-cycle.
- Continuously improve client relationship management skills and manage client expectations.
- Maintain awareness of priority levels for documents per committee, topic, and document type.
- Establish and maintain continuous contact with customers to process demand effectively and meet their needs and expectations.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Successfully completed university-level training in translation or hold a degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in translation project management/translation demand processing.
- Experience with Computer Aided Translation (CAT) and collaborative tools such as Office365 and SharePoint.
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2®).
- Minimum levels of NATO’s official languages (English/French): VI (Proficiency) in one; V (Advanced) in the other.
- Knowledge of specialized fields related to NATO topics and other NATO languages and partner countries is an advantage.
- Ability to handle stress, changes, delays, interruptions and unexpected events, multitask and prioritize work.
- Prior experience tasking/assigning work to cross-functional teams, particularly in an international environment.
