See your match score & applyThe incumbent is responsible for planning and executing the Deployable Communications & Information Systems (DCIS) Evaluation/Certification and Lessons Learned processes, monitoring DCIS readiness, and defining recommendations for improvements to standards and capabilities. The role involves conducting evaluations, supporting NATO operations and exercises, and managing lessons learned to improve CIS support.
Responsibilities
- Execute evaluation related tasks as prioritised and allocated by the Branch Head.
- Develop and execute specific Evaluation/Certification programmes.
- Participate in relevant Evaluation/Certification and Specific Exercise Preparation conferences.
- Attend working groups and committees to represent NATO CIS Group’s coordinated strategic and operational position on Evaluation/Certification issues.
- Conduct the DCIS capabilities evaluations and other required evaluation activities.
- Contribute to the development of DCIS capabilities related doctrine, policy, procedures, manuals and standards.
- Support NATO operations and exercises from DCIS Readiness Evaluation and Lessons Learned perspective.
- Conduct analysis and prepare reports, studies and briefings as directed.
- Capture and record Lessons Learned from NATO operations, exercises, training events, evaluations, and other appropriate events for action, and monitor the development of proposals and action plans for command group approval.
- Identify amendments and improvements to policies, directives, procedures, programmes and other processes focused on strategic and operational matters.
- Contribute to the dissemination of Lessons Learned in the execution of current and preparation of future exercises/operations.
Requirements
- University Degree and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
- Previous Staff experience at a large military or governmental organisation or major private company.
- English - SLP 3333 - (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing).
- Three years Plans Staff experience (desirable).
- Experienced in CIS planning for operations and exercises at a strategic and operational level (desirable).
- Experience with C2C in an international/multinational environment (desirable).
- Experience serving at a NATO military HQ (desirable).
- Four years working experience in a CIS Office of an international organization or military Headquarters (desirable).
- Local NATO Lessons Learned Portal (NLLP) Manager Course (desirable).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience for a civilian CIS expert, including experience in a military deployed or remote location employing mobile CIS capabilities.
