The incumbent is responsible for providing CIS technical contributions related to Digital Backbone and Redundancy, Resilience and Survivability initiatives at NATO SHAPE. The role involves implementing Military Committee tasks, developing survivability and resilience requirements, initiating projects, and supporting the Digital Backbone implementation to enhance multi-domain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation of the Redundancy, Resilience and Survivability initiative as part of NATO 2030 Key Requirement Area.
  • Develop CIS survivability and resilience requirements based on PACE principles.
  • Initiate urgent projects for resilience improvement.
  • Support the CIS Resilience requirements review as part of the Digital Backbone implementation.
  • Contribute under the lead of J6 Principal Technical Advisor to resolve technical viewpoints related to Digital Backbone implementation.
  • Initiate the SLA Review for integration of the Redundancy, Resilience and Survivability initiative.
  • Build a repository of relevant documents for CIS Redundancy, Resilience and Survivability as part of NATO 2030 Project.
  • Contribute to development of a database of requirements for Redundancy, Resilience and Survivability based on approved documents.
  • Contribute to development of a workflow for resilience requirements implementation from initiation to delivery and acceptance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing projects and programs or related managerial experience, including at least 2 years in CIS project management and coordination.
  • Strong coordination skills across operational, technical, project and policy stakeholders.
  • Strong drafting skills for requirements, reports, briefings and decision-support products.
  • Ability to build and maintain a structured repository of requirements and project roadmaps.
  • University Degree in management information systems, accounting, economics, finance, business administration, public administration, operations research, project management or related discipline and 2 years function related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
  • English language proficiency at SLP 3333 level (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing).
  • Desirable: 2 years’ experience within strategic military/civilian HQ or international organization in similar or adjacent roles.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with NATO environment.
