The Project Coordinator supports the Portfolio Manager, Section Heads, Capability Managers and Programme Directors in tracking and coordinating infrastructure projects within NATO 2030 Infrastructure programmes. The role involves monitoring project lifecycle, coordinating inputs for investment submissions, supervising contract staff, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful infrastructure project implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Section Head in tracking projects within NATO 2030 Infrastructure programmes as directed under the Implementation of the DDA Family of Plans.
  • Support the Programme Director in coordinating inputs and projects related to the NATO 2030 Infrastructure Programmes for submission to the Investment Committee.
  • Ensure that all necessary data is kept up to date in management information systems and that relevant information is exchanged to support monitoring of infrastructure programmes throughout their lifecycle.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to contract staff supporting the development and preparation of projects for inclusion in NATO 2030 Infrastructure programmes.
  • Support regular reviews of the F lines of development during the whole lifecycle of the capability in coordination with Territorial Host Nations project managers.
  • Track lifecycle implementation of infrastructure projects with Territorial Host Nations.
  • Monitor implementation and assess Cost, Scope, Schedule, Performance and Risk issues raised by implementation programme and project managers.
  • Provide inputs and data to information management systems.
  • Support OMI Inspections as requested by ACO and JFCs.
  • Conduct site surveys for potential projects as required by respective Programme Director.
  • Maintain close working relationships with Programme Directors and Portfolio Managers.
  • Lead or support other Infrastructure Capabilities Projects as directed by the Branch Head.

Requirements

  • University degree in architecture, civil engineering, infrastructure development, construction management, facilities management, military engineering, or a closely related infrastructure discipline, with at least 2 years of function-related experience in infrastructure planning, development, delivery, coordination or management; or Higher secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in architecture, civil engineering, construction, infrastructure development, facilities management, military engineering, or a closely related infrastructure discipline, leading to a professional qualification or accreditation, with at least 4 years of post-related experience in infrastructure planning, development, delivery, coordination or management.
  • Four years' experience within Infrastructure and Facilities Programmes.
  • Four years' experience in a multinational organization.
  • Two years' experience in delivering Infrastructure Facilities Projects.
  • Two years' management experience in a large organization.
  • English language proficiency at SLP 3333 (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing).
  • Knowledge of the NATO Governance and Management model for common funded capabilities is desirable.
  • Chartered or professionally accredited engineer, architect, construction manager, infrastructure specialist, or equivalent membership/accreditation in a recognised professional institution is desirable.
  • Education/Training in PRINCE 2 or equivalent is desirable.
  • Education/Training in Management of Risk (MoR) is desirable.
  • Completion of the Resource Management Education Programme (RMEP) Course (ETE-FI-2708) is desirable.
