See your match score & applyThe NATO International Staff is recruiting for three Officers in Standards Engineering, pending budget approval. Positions are allocated to either the Defence Industry, Innovation and Armaments (D2IA) Division or the Cyber and Digital Transformation (CDT) Division, supporting NATO's defence capabilities and cyber defence efforts.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with staff members across the Defence Industry, Innovation and Armaments (D2IA) Division and the Cyber and Digital Transformation (CDT) Division.
- Interact with colleagues from other divisions of the International Staff and the International Military Staff.
- Collaborate with members of national delegations, NATO Standardization Office, NATO Science & Technology Organization, DIANA, NATO Command Structure, NATO Agencies, international organizations, industry representatives, and subject-matter experts.
- Support the rapid development and delivery of interoperable defence capabilities and NATO's cyber defence and digital transformation efforts.
- Contribute to NATO's deterrence and defence needs through standards engineering expertise.
Requirements
- Candidates must be nationals of NATO member countries.
- Appointment subject to security clearance provided by national authorities.
- Approval of candidate's medical file by NATO Medical Adviser required.
- Verification of studies and work experience mandatory.
- Successful completion of accreditation and notification process by relevant authorities.
- Candidates must be prepared to travel for work and/or work outside normal office hours.
- Candidates should demonstrate commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in line with NATO's core tasks.
- Candidates must be willing to work in a non-smoking environment at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
- Candidates must be prepared to work under contract conditions including a definite duration contract of three years, renewable up to six years.
- Candidates must be flexible to accommodate organizational needs and maintain international diversity.
- Candidates should be aware that advancement to higher grade is not automatic and subject to specific conditions.
