See your match score & applyThe LANDCOM Internship Programme 2027 offers current students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain work experience in an international organization, specifically supporting the Budget and Disbursing Branch of the Finance Directorate at NATO Allied Land Command. Interns will assist in drafting and screening budget estimates, preparing financial documentation, and supporting disbursing activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist Finance Directorate in documentation of annual budget and delegated budgets.
- Help prepare travel and hospitality fund related claims.
- Collect and arrange all types of budget related documentation from fund managers, past financial records, publications, etc. for budget preparation.
- Assist in the preparation of ad hoc reports for the Financial Controller.
- Assist in documenting and drafting international and support agreements.
- Assist the Financial Controller/Branch Head (Budget & Finance) in managing all disbursing activities of the HQ, including requests for funds from ACO, making collections based on collection vouchers, maintaining bank accounts, maintaining cash accounts and cash receipts.
- Administer branch budget-related administrative files and documents.
- Assist in maintaining all budget records for audit purposes.
- Ensure that current and historical budget authorization documents are properly filed.
- Assist in the documentation of new procedures to facilitate and improve day-to-day budget procedures.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a citizen of a NATO member nation.
- A certificate from the University stating that an internship on their subjects of study is necessary for their professional development.
- Applicants must be proficient in the use of the English language.
- Applicants must have at least two years of successful university study or equivalent.
- The program is open to current students or recent graduates (degree obtained within the last 18 months).
- Applicant must have obtained at least a university degree in a related field such as business administration, engineering or finance.
- Must have a good level of English.
